Holy Faith is a church alive with the Holy Spirit, a welcoming church with members eager to pitch in and grow in number as well as faith, say Priest in Charge the Rev. James Gerhart and Parish Administrator Tom Shaffer.
"So many of you have picked up the ministries here at Holy Faith," Fr. Jim said to the 70 parishioners gathered for a sit-down dinner at the parish hall after the service. "That means you are doing what you are supposed to be doing."
Those ministries include
[] Host of space and projects with the Boy Scouts
[] Episcopal Church Women
[] Men's Club
[] Bible Study
[] A Fellowship/Hospitality committee
[] United Thank Offering
[] Plans for restarting a Daughters of the King chapter
The food pantry was particularly busy in 2012. For the year, Holy Faith volunteers packed and handed out 2,098 boxes of groceries and fed 5,820 people. "That was a lot of food for our little pantry," said volunteer Maria Hayward.
As enthusiasm grows, parishioners are looking for more ways to grow their presence in their community.
