The first two Saturdays in March, the diocesan Honduras Commission held a GO! Conference in the north and south limits of the diocese in order to support the diocesan resolution that called for parishes to undertake short-term mission trips.

The conference was designed to show that it is possible for any parish to do effective mission ministry in Honduras.

The Honduras Commission exists to support mission and ministry between the Diocese of Central Florida and the Diocese of Honduras. We currently do that most actively through the support and development of parish-to-parish relationships and short term missions.

We had 390 campers attend summer camp, which is the most we’ve had since the camp was reestablished. Our Bible theme was “Choose this day whom you will serve…but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!” (Joshua...
Civil rights might be taken for granted by many young Americans, but memories of the struggle are still vivid for those, like the Rev. Canon Nelson Pinder, who fought on the front lines of racial injustice in the second half of the 20th century. State Sen. Gary Siplin, Orlando Commissioner Daisy W. Lynum, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and a host of friends and relatives turned out to honor Fr. Pinder...

The work of therapists, parents and teachers sometimes involves the experience of dark times in the lives of students, our children, and clients. Through working together – teaching new skills -- it is hoped that at the journey’s end we arrive alongside them at a place of peace and joy...
