Kids Registering Now for Camp Wingmann’s Cool Winter CampNovember 10, 2017 • Jeff Gardenour  • DIOCESAN FAMILY • REACHING OUT

Youth camps were a hot item this past summer at Camp Wingmann, and leaders are hoping for more cool things in January when the 2018 Winter Camp is held.

With the recent cancelation of “Pura Vida,” a thematic camp for high school kids, Camp Wingmann is now bracing for a huge turnout for its 2018 Winter Camp on Jan. 5-7. The three-day event is open to middle school and high school youths.

The Winter Camp offers youths an opportunity to spiritually bond, either as a first-time attendee or as someone who wants to reconnect with their summer camp friends.

Camp Wingmann will offer an array of fun activities, including a ropes course, line dancing, stargazing, singing, and praising God. The camp also offers great food.

Cost is $95 per person for the complete weekend. Youths can sign up at www.campwingmann.org and clicking on the red REGISTER NOW button on the left side of the home page.

Registration is currently ongoing through midnight, Dec. 31. For more information, please call toll-free at 866-526-3380 or email campwingmannregistrar@gmail.com on the internet.

Camp Wingmann leaders announced Thursday, Nov. 9, that “Pura Vida” was canceled because of low registration numbers. “Pura Vida” was a completely retooled event designed to draw youths for a one-time camping experience and then allow them to return as counselors in subsequent years.
