The Episcopal Diocese of Central Florida has released an update concerning hotel reservations for the upcoming 49th Annual Diocesan Convention.
Since reservation activity for overnight accommodations for Jan. 26, 2018 (Friday night of the convention) has been very light at hotels in the Vero Beach/Port St. Lucie/Fort Pierce area where the Diocese has set up room blocks, participating hotels have requested that room blocks be released effective Wednesday, Dec. 20. The Diocese will release room blocks from the following hotels:
- Vero Beach – Holiday Inn Express, west I-95; Hampton Inn & Suites, South Beach Place, Springhill Suites.
- Port St. Lucie – Holiday Inn Express, Hampton Inn & Suites, Residence Inn.
- Fort Pierce – Sleep Inn.
“Because this time of the year is considered “high season” with heavy demand for hotel rooms, the hotels that offered room blocks for the convention have requested that we release the rooms back to them due to the lack of bookings from our convention delegates,” a Diocesan spokesperson said. “If you have already made reservations at one of these hotels, your reservations will be honored. There may still be rooms available at all of these hotels, however, after Dec. 20th they will no longer be available at the rates offered under “Diocese of Central Florida.”
