Folks can play a round and contribute to the future of our children when the St. Barnabas Invitational is held at 7:30 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 30, at Venetian Bay.

A fundraiser for St. Barnabas Episcopal School in DeLand, the event features tournament play and a multitude of contests with fantastic prizes. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Golfers are asked to register and feel free to use the range for practice from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. A putting contest will be held from 8 to 8:30 a.m.

The tournament follows from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Lunch and awards presentation follows from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

A mulligan pack is $10 per person and includes three. Entry fee is $350 per team, $100 per person. Lizards are $15 per person, with a limit of one per person.

The event will include a $2,500 putt contest, a hole-in-one contest, longest drive and closest-to-the-pin contests, and a $1,400 “Par Three Poker” contest. The biggest prize up for grabs is a Mitsubishi Outlander Sport.
