The ninth generation of Episcopal/Anglican Pinders was confirmed Sunday, April 22 at St. John-the-Baptist Episcopal Church, Orlando, when the Rt. Rev. Gregory O. Brewer visited and confirmed Nelson Wardell Pinder III, Carolyn R. Arndt Morris and Evan Douglas Lewis. Also at the service, Ms. Eleanor Callender reaffirmed her commitment to Christ's service, with the blessing of Bishop Brewer.

15MarPinder's Kids Monument to be dedicated April 9

The Hon. Buddy Dyer, the Hon. Daisy W. Lynum, and the Hon. Gary Siplin are scheduled to dedicate the Pinder's Kids Monument at 10 a.m., Friday, April 9, at Parramore Heritage Park, Orlando.

The monument commemorates the civil-rights legacy of the Rev. Canon Nelson W. Pinder, who has served in numerous positions in the Episcopal Diocese of Central Florida, most currently as interim rector at St.-John-the-Baptist, Orlando.

On Sunday, December 28, 2008, family, friends and congregation of The Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist surprised Pete Boyd with the Proclamation announcing “Ernest ‘Pete’ Boyd Day.”  On behalf of his church family, Mercerdese Clark presented the proclamation.
