St. Edward’s, Mount Dora, awards scholarships

St. Edward’s Episcopal Church in Mount Dora recently awarded almost $5,000 in scholarships to eight recent graduates from Mount Dora High School:
❏ Stephanie Miller, daughter of Doug and Nancy Woodard, who plans to attend Florida Gulf Coast University and pursue an athletic-training program.
❏ Pierce Schwalb, son of Andrew and Diane Schwalb, plans to attend Rollins College and major in business.
❏ Kathryn Smith, daughter of Barbara Smith, plans to attend Lake-Sumter Community College and then the University of Florida and major in education.
❏ Katrina Stearns, daughter of Donald Sterns and Andrika Donovan, plans dual enrollment at Wellesley College and Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a major in biotechnology.
❏ Kimberly Stowers, daughter of Byran and Stephanie Stowers, plans to attend the University of Central Florida and major in music.
❏ Kyla Taylor, daughter of Natalie Taylor, plans to attend the University of Central Florida's nursing program.
❏ Jessica West, daughter of John West and Lisa Wittstruck, plans to attend the University of Central Florida and major in hospitality managemeSt.
❏ Andrew Wray, son of Peter and Charlene Wray, plans to attend Florida State University College of Arts and Sciences.
